Enrollment is filling up FAST for Winter sessions!

What a great time we are having in yoga!
A few reminders -- spots are not held until enrollment form and payment is received. Please do not assume that if enrolled in current session, you automatically get a spot in the next session. It's a first come first serve basis. If you know your child wants every session, just send me an email to let me know. I encourage you to sign up without all your friends so your child is open to making new friends and doesn't feel distracted by them. Thanks! MK

Never Give Up

No matter what is going on
Never give up
Develop the heart
Too much energy in your country
Is spent developing the mind
Instead of the heart
Be compassionate
Not just to your friends
But to everyone
Be compassionate
Work for peace
In your heart and in the world
Work for peace
And I say again
Never give up
No matter what is going on around you
Never give up

--The Dalai Lama

Frog Pose

Sanskrit name: Bhekasana

Frog pose opens both hips. This pose may look simple but the challenge of Frog pose is remembering to breathe and holding it for 5 to 10 breaths.

  1. Sink low in the hips and avoid leaning forward.
  2. Imagine a string lifting you from the crown of the head.
  3. Lengthen the spine and draw your navel to the spine.
  4. Jump your legs out into a straddle position.
  5. Sink low in your hips with both feet facing out. Knees should line up above your heels.
  6. Position hands in prayer pose in front of the chest or reverse prayer behind the back.
  7. To challenge yourself, lift one or both of your heels. Or try jumping like a frog! That's always a big hit!
